Who we are
Founded in the spring of 1997 by eleven visionary women, Johns Hopkins University’s chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi was created to amplify the voices and experiences of Asian-American women on campus. At a university renowned for its diversity, these trailblazers saw a unique need for a space where sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and service could thrive among Asian-American women.
On January 31, 1998, their dream became a reality as aKDPhi became the first Asian-American interest sorority at Johns Hopkins. Rooted in the values of empowerment and unity, our chapter continues to honor their legacy by fostering a strong, inclusive community and celebrating the diverse identities of all its members.
